PALILULA MUNICIPALITY PURCHASED THE BOOKS OF POPULAR NIS WRITERS AND DONATED TO SCHOOLS

Traditionally Palilula Municipality celebrated World Book Day – April 23 this year with the purchasing of 30 new editions of Nis popular writers. According to PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, on this way the Municipality gives the support to Nis writers and promotes book tradition and culture. The purchased books are signed by Zoran Ciric, Dejan Stojiljkovic, Milos Grozdanovic, Vidosav Petrovic and Sasa Hadzi Tancic will be donated to the libraries of elementary and high schools. Book Day is in fact the day of remembering Spaniard Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare, the English, who died back in a 1616 and organization UNESCO, in their honor, established on 23 April as the World Book day.
